Exhibition notes by the artist and technical solutions

This single-channel video has no sound and is in SD PAL (720x576).
The original aspect ratio is 4:3 and should be shown in this aspect ratio on a monitor (i.e. behind glass) and not projected.

The video can be presented as follows:

On a monitor with a ratio of 4:3
a. usually older television models or cubes (CRT monitors) in PAL
b. flat screens with an aspect ratio of 4:3 (hardly available today)

On a monitor with a 16:9 aspect ratio
In this case, Rist recommends a wooden cover for the monitor or a wall placed in front of the monitor with a 4:3 cut-out/window (otherwise there will be two unwanted black bars on the left and right side of the picture) so that the unused areas of the monitor are covered.

Please let us know which technical solution you choose so that we can send you the correct video file (h264 in .mp4).
Any other solution must first be discussed with us and approved by the artist.
