Please note that all orders must be pre-paid. For rental, copies must be returned immediately after the screening, postmarked the day after the screening. Upon receiving an order form, we will send you an invoice for pre-payment. All listed copies are available on DVD, Betacam SP and Digital Betacam. Other formats and transfers from PAL to NTSC or SECAM are available on demand.
TERMS OF SALE OF DVDS FOR PRIVATE USE
For all titles distributed by videoart.ch the copyright lies with the author.
- The purchaser purchases a DVD without screening rights copied from the dubmaster tape of the work.
- The sale of the DVD does not include the transfer of the copyright.
- The DVD may not be sold, lent, copied, broadcasted, cablecasted or webcasted in whole or in part.
- The purchaser is not allowed to produce videostills and/or images of the DVD
- The purchaser may not give or sell the DVD or any copies to third parties.

Rental Conditions

- Copies may not be duplicated, copied or reproduced in whole or in part.
- Copies may only be shown within the agreed screening program. The copies may not be changed by abbreviation or any other modification.
- Copies may not be broadcasted, cablecasted or webcasted in whole or in part.
- Copies may not be sold, lent or transferred by the licensee to any institution, venue or individual.
- videoart.ch can make videostills available to the licensee upon request. The renter is not allowed to produce videostills and/or images of the DVD.
TERMS OF SALE OF ARCHIVAL TAPES WITH SCREENING RIGHTS (DIGIBETACAM / BETACAM SP)
For all titles distributed at videoart.ch, the copyright lies with the author.
- The purchaser purchases an archival tape copied from the dubmaster tape of the work.
- The above mentioned sale of the archival tape does not include the transfer of the copyright.
- However, the representative grants the purchaser the necessary authority to make the archival tape from the work accessible to the public and that the purchaser is accustomed to doing the following powers:
- the purchaser may make copies of the archival tape in order to make exhibition copies,
- the purchaser may make the work known by exhibiting it in public in form of in-house screenings,
- the purchaser receives from videoart.ch a selection of digital images of stills from the work and he may reproduce the same for promotional, publicity, and educational purposes.
- The purchaser does not have the right at its own discretion to select excerpts and/or stills from the archival tape of the work.
- The institution may not give or sell the archival tape of the work or any copies of the same on loan to third parties and allow such third parties to exercise powers referred to under b) and c).
videoart.ch is defender of the recognition of the intellectual property, the royalty and payment awarded to the artist. Please note that clients will be held responsible for the full replacement cost of the screening copies if it is damaged while in the clients possession, during shipment, or if the screening copies are not returned at all. No screening copies may be duplicated in whole or in part while in the possession of anyone who does not own the rights to the footage. All titles are solely owned by the copyright holder as listed in the credits of the screening copies and all titles are protected by international copyright laws. Previews, rentals or purchases does not include the right to alter the screening copies, offer it for sub-distribution, lend it to others, broadcast or transmit it by any other electronic means.
